A Sonoran Truth Editorial, December 29, 2014.
On June 26, 2013, Sorecheeks published an opinion in his claptrap paper entitled: “Planned lynching.” http://www.sonorannews.com/archives/2013/130626/myview.html
Basically Dogpoop Don claimed that “Trenk’s screw ups would be expensive to the Town.” Don never says anything about the cost of his influence on the Town, but we digress.
Then on July 10, 2013, Donny Boy printed another opinion claiming that “the pathway to Usama’s return is recall of the slate.” http://www.sonorannews.com/archives/2013/130710/myview.html
Taken in context – these articles demonstrate that the strategy of Usama’s law suits is to cost the town money in an effort to undermine the effectiveness of Trenk, Monochino, Spitzer, and Durkin. Moreover, according to Trenk, there is concrete proof that the objective of the Sorchych instigated recall is to reinstate Usama – who has:
- Put deeds of gifts of land and abandonments of easements on the consent agenda (to be voted on by council with no discussion) benefiting his own property and that of his friends (Don Sorchcych)
- Failed to ensure the maintenance and proper operation of newly acquired and newly constructed infrastructure
- Had a tab running with the Town’s law firm that the seated council was unaware of for tens of thousands of dollars
- Personally sanctioned selective enforcement of town ordinances (which is common knowledge but was confirmed by the Town’s prosecutor).
What troubles us about these allegations is if Trenk, Monochino, Spitzer, and Durkin are a slate, why didn’t the “Trenk Slate” have the Town’s Prosecutor file criminal charges against Usama? Why didn’t the Trenk Slate fire the Town’s attorneys for acting on behalf of an unscrupulous Town Manager? And most troubling to private citizens- why hasn’t the Trenk Slate unraveled the prior selective enforcement of Town Ordinances?
Instead, the Trenk Slate went limp and wimped out after taking a little heat in terminating Usama. Leadership requires conviction. Now is the Time boyz. Show us you’ve got the cajones to fix what Don, Usama, Vince the Buddhist Bookie and Cave Creek’s sleazy lawyers did wrong over the last 15 years.
In order to move forward, you’ve got to clean up the past. Do it now, or be done with you.

Vice Mayor Adam Trenk
But citizens feel differently:
You really nailed it!
You are spot on target!
Bullseye!
They wimped out at every opportunity, including a forensic audit. They operate from a stance of fear, not conviction. Even Adam, who has held this group together as best he could but they all fear LaMar, Smith, Usama, Williams, and west side rednecks that show up to jeer and slander anyone that disagrees. The west side rednecks are like Nazis on Kristallnacht, conspiring to smash, demean and character assassinate anyone they can in Council meetings in a conspiracy with Sorchych’s and his weekly rag.
The bottom line is that they [Trenk, Monachino, Durkin, and Spitzer] are afraid to do what needs to be done. Fear drives them….not conviction, ethics, morality, truth or justice….fear.
It’s a sad commentary of a Town held hostage by Sorchych.

additional reader comments:
Dear Editors,
Adam Trenk’s comment that the Town has cleaned up its issues with select enforcement is disingenuous. The Town has not addressed its select enforcement violations on my property. These are continuous violations of statutory law, federal law and the Town’s own ordinances for which the Town has no discretion. Cave Creek is not a sovereign entity and must adhere to federal and state mandates. The law is clear, I am entitled to the Town’s strict compliance with federal and state law and with the Town’s Ordinances. One would think that an attorney such as Trenk would understand this. By sitting on their hands, current council and Town management expose themselves to liability. I reserve all rights and claims.
