The Sonoran Truth thinks this is a great idea which could lead to other cost saving measures such as sharing building inspectors, planners, engineers, and code enforcement.
Under former Town Management, Cave Creek’s court was occasionally used to harass political opponents. The Town Prosecutor Mark Iacovino and Town Marshal Adam Stein would team up to issue summons which would be tried “kangaroo style” in Cave Creek’s municipal court. Usama even wanted the Court to be a profit center like his approach to building permits. When Iacovino became too outspoken on serving the wishes of Usama, Town Council covered the tracks and fired Iacovino instead of Usama.
Thankfully, those days are gone.
