A Sonoran Truth Editorial, December 20, 2014
It’s official. The Sorchych sycophants now have their slate: Susan Clancy against Vice Mayor Adam Trenk; Steve La Mar against Charlie Spitzer; Dick Esser against Reg Monachino and Mark Lipsky is collecting signatures to run against Mike Durkin.
Although Donny and his mouthpiece Bentley like to consider Durkin, Spitzer, Monachino and Trenk a “Slate,” nothing could be further from the truth. The only thing they agreed on was getting rid of Usama. After that, its been every man for himself. The Truth wonders if they’ll unite to fight back against the Sorchych Slate?
Frankly, we’re not going to do it for them because nothing has changed. Durkin, Spitzer, Monachino and Trenk did not transform the way business is done in Cave Creek. They did not improve the ethics of Town Hall. In fact, with Jankowski it became worse, more entrenched. Frankly, we don’t understand why Don is making such a fuss to get his candidates elected. The Town still runs to his beck and call as Jankowski is the perfect company man. He’s bland, unimpressive and just a sandwich shy in the picnic basket.
Of course Don and the Buddhist Bookie Vince the pony Francia would rather have their pal Usama as Town Manager. We’re sure that Usama is out beating the bushes finding crazies to sign petitions for the Sorchych Slate. We wonder whether Vince is laying off odds on the elections? From our perspective, the only candidate with half a chance is Steve who cares soooooooooooo much about Cave Creek La Mar. Not that Steve is honest, ethical or cares about Cave Creek, its just that he knows how to work public relations with the Sonoran News, and Steve, like the little man that he is, decided to pick a fight against Charlie, a candidate who approaches politics like a science project.
But Steve tends to stick his loafers in his mouth, and we’ve got faith that Steve will do it again, especially since he cares so much about the future of Cave Creek but all he talks about is the past.
