Over the last two decades, opposition to the Sorchych junta has come and gone but the consistency has always been a lack of a unified front. If you look at the signs littering our streets, all four of the Sorchych slate are there in BIG letters on BIG signs. We see their signs but none for the “Trenk’s slate.” There’s a couple of signs for Reggie but not a single sign for Durkin or Spitzer. [update: there is now a BIG sign for Mike Durkin- way to go Mike!]
Durkin thinks he doesn’t have to campaign. We hope he’s right. Spitzer is knocking on doors. Maybe he can knock on enough doors to get re-elected.
The four recallees don’t want anyone to mention the scars of selective enforcement. They claim they’ve cleaned it up but there remains a lot of bitterness in the community about what happened under the previous administration and what the new council did not do.
Hoeppner, one of Don’s henchmen, fashioned us the campaign manager of the “Trenk Slate.” We wish that were the case. We’d present a unified front and evidence of criminal conduct by the former Town Manager. That’s what this election is all about. A cover up.
Sorchych constantly badgers the town with a litany of alleged mistakes made by the non-existent Trenk Slate where the reality is far more sinister. Two days after Usama was fired, he went back into Town Hall and had the Town’s computer consultant erase all the Town Manager’s email for the last 15 years and make Usama a CD of Town documents. Usama’s emails are the property of the Town of Cave Creek- not Usama. Typically when an executive leaves a company, there is a security protocol that is followed. In this instance, neither Carrie Dyrek, nor Barbara Allen, nor Marshal Stein followed any protocol to insure the sanctity of Town property. In all likelihood, they are complicit.
John Vannucci calls the water/ sewer company fiasco with Rancho Manana our “Watergate.” The real Watergate ultimately had to do with Nixon erasing tapes, just like Usama erased his email. What evidence was lost of Usama and Sorchych doing back room deals? What documentation was lost for a litany of lawsuits?
Dirty deals behind closed doors. That’s the reason for the recall. The Sorchych Slate needs to elected to maintain the cover up and go back to business as usual. Town governance will remain as corrupt as ever.
To argue with the mendacity of the Sorchych propaganda “tabloid” is a waste of time and energy. To argue with the Sorchych sycophants is like trying to reason with a child that needs a nap. We look forward to a day when Cave Creek can conduct itself like an adult.
In the meantime, we ask voters to consider the obvious conspiracy by Usama to erase his emails with Sorchych, which is why “the Trenk Slate” is waging war against the Sonoran News. Usama is now looking at a felony and Usama has family responsibilities. Maybe its time for Usama to confess. He’s already admitted to Gil Lopez that he became Don’s friend out of fear for his job (“better to have Don for a friend than an enemy”). Maybe its time for Usama to confess his wrong doings at the behest of Sorchych to maintain his freedom.
