Steve says that the pudgy little Jeff Murray, who will probably be the Town’s new attorney, won a lawsuit against Freeman. Really?
- Judges have the prevailing attorney draw up the judgment form.
- Freeman’s attorney is drawing up the judgment for the judge to sign now.
- Freeman is getting a permanent injunction on how the trail must be built and the restrictions the Town must abide by.
- The trail will not be on Freeman’s driveway as the Town originally intended. It will cross it in only two places, with lots of restrictions.
- Does all this sound like Freeman prevailed? Read on.
- The judgment form is due to be submitted on June 4th.
- Sometime thereafter, the judge will sign the form or modify it as his spirits call.
- The appeal process timing does not start until the judgment is signed and filed.
- Crossing Freeman’s easement in two places is a takings.
