Noel “Peyote” Hebets

Editors at Sonoran Truth:   LeoNotice  Leo3

I also attach what the proposed October 16, 2000 letter to Sorchych regarding my friend Leo Mercado (that I referenced and included in my letter to Amy Silverman).  It addresses the reasons for Sorchych next calling me “Noel Peyote Hebets”.

The only connection he could make was my dear friend, Leo Mercado, thanking me on his The Peyote Foundation website for some input I had provided on building passive solar sustainable structures, an area that I have now studied for over 30 years.

I do not think I sent Sorchych that letter or the attached draft of what I had prepared for presentation with it.  I believe that Leo had moved to the Tucson area at that time, and I was out of touch with him until a few years ago, when I went to find him using the powerful French biointensive style of agriculture to grow organic produce in a mesquite bosque on the north side of Tanque Verde Wash east of town, while helping UofA landscape crews and students do things like build straw bale gardens with the same style of organic agriculture.

Leo is now over 50 years old, and continues to devote his life to plants, believing it is our natural right to use them in all of their natural forms, as are ancestors have done for thousands and thousands of years, including psychotropic plants like marijuana, peyote and psilocybin.
